FAQ
Questions streamers ask
Is it free?
Yes. Every sound and the soundboard, OBS overlay and remote are free. Premium removes ads and adds private boards and Twitch channel points, Bits and alerts.
Do I need an account?
Only to copy or edit a board, or to turn on its remote. Any public board plays in OBS without signing in.
Does it work with Streamlabs?
Yes. Streamlabs Desktop uses the same browser source as OBS. The setup guide covers both.
Do hotkeys work while I'm in a game?
Keys can’t: a web page only hears them while it has focus. Use the remote instead. Tap a sound on your phone or press a Stream Deck button, and it plays through OBS whatever has focus. The remote guide takes two minutes.
Can my chat trigger sounds?
Yes. With the remote on, every sound has a trigger URL. Point a Nightbot or Streamer.bot command at it and chat can fire it, up to 20 times every 10 seconds. The remote guide has the command.
Can viewers play sounds with channel points?
Yes, with Premium. Connect Twitch on your board and pick which sounds become channel point rewards; Bits tiers and follow, sub and raid alerts can play sounds too. Points and Bits need a Twitch Affiliate or Partner channel. If your OBS overlay is closed, redemptions are refunded. See the remote guide.
Can I play any sound on stream?
Rights to each sound stay with its owner. Check our Terms of Service and your platform’s rules before playing a sound on stream.
